Workshops

Bring IHI to your organization or school!

Update: Thank you for your interest in a workshop with the Immigrant History Initiative. As of February 2023, IHI is no longer taking requests for workshops. Please reach out to us at staff@immigranthistory.org with any questions.

Immigrant History Initiative offers customized workshops on Asian American history, racial justice, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are currently working with corporations, schools, and non-profit organizations to bring a unique, anti-racist approach that centers the experiences of Asian American communities. Please fill out this form to inquire about bringing us to your organization for a workshop.

All workshops are tailored to your individual organization's needs. We work with organizations of all sizes and institute sliding-scale pricing to make our workshops accessible to everyone.

One of the best PDs I've taken in the 13 years I've been in the district, not just importance of information but also presentation. Thank you!
--School educator
They put the problem in real words. Being the model minority, there is a high price we pay, many unnoticed: family relations, mental health problems under the pressure to perform.
--AAPI parent
I have never had a class like this before. It was incredibly important to be able to learn about this history.
--AAPI student
Really valuable and insightful session. Came away with a lot of actionable information.
--Corporate employee
AMAZING job. My favorite PD so far this school season (and very relevant to my grad work!)
--School educator
A lightbulb moment for my husband [was] that he has unprocessed racial trauma that has lasting impacts on his ability to engage in conversation about race.
