IHI has created dozens of lesson plans to teach the stories of immigrant diasporas, with a focus on the Asian American experience. From exclusion, to gender, to cross-racial solidarity, our lesson plans are crafted as user-friendly and flexible guides for teachers, able to be plugged directly into existing course curricula and adapted for individual classroom needs. In our lessons, we prioritize engagement with primary sources, critical reflection on concepts of race, identity, and justice, and student voice and empowerment.
