​​Betty Hung

Betty Hung is the Staff Director at the UCLA Labor Center where she oversees programs and operations, including program development and strategy, staff supervision, strategic planning and organizational development, fundraising, and strategies to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion. For over 20 years, Betty has been a social justice advocate with significant experience in multiracial, values-based coalition and alliance building. She has played an integral role in workers rights, racial justice, immigrant rights, and education equity campaigns. ​

Kate Lee

Born and raised in San Diego, Kate Lee has worked to create equitable spaces in the independent school world where she also serves as a team leader at Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, CT. She earned her Master's in Chinese Pedagogy from Middlebury College and BA in Chinese and Economics from the University of California, Davis. Part of the team for PBS's Asian Americans docuseries, Kate worked with IHI in finalizing the development and design of the K-12 curriculum. Through this organization, Kate hopes to continue centering and amplifying the narratives of historically marginalized peoples. ​

Andy Parker

Andy Parker is the CFO and General Counsel at Baltimore Corps, a non-profit that recruits and supports emerging leaders in Baltimore City. Prior to joining Baltimore Corps, he worked for several years in government and politics, focusing on civic engagement and participation. Andy grew up in Oregon, studied at Stanford and the University of Cambridge, and holds a JD from Yale Law School. He is excited to be a part of the IHI team.

Swapna Reddy

Swapna Reddy is Co-Executive Director of the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP). Since its founding, ASAP has prevented the imminent deportation of hundreds of asylum seekers and provided community education to thousands of asylum seekers online. Swapna’s work has been featured in numerous publications, including the New York Times, The New Yorker, and TIME Magazine. She is currently an Ashoka Fellow and is the past recipient of an Echoing Green fellowship, Equal Justice Works fellowship, and the J.M.K. Innovation Prize.
